Food-Safe Filament
Food-safe 3D printing filament is made from raw material certified to EU food-contact standards — the right starting point for kitchen aids, food-preparation tools, moulds and containers. This collection gathers our filaments whose virgin pellets and masterbatches meet food-contact certification, including specialist metal-detectable grades for commercial food environments.
An honest, important note on food safety: our certification applies to the raw filament material, not automatically to finished printed parts. 3D-printed surfaces contain microscopic gaps between layers that can harbour bacteria, and standard brass nozzles can introduce trace metals. For genuine food-contact use, print with a stainless-steel nozzle, apply a food-safe sealant, and assess suitability for your specific application. Used correctly, these materials make food-contact projects possible — used carelessly, no filament is automatically safe.
For commercial food production, our metal-detectable filaments add a critical safety layer: fragments can be caught by standard detection equipment on production lines. Everything is manufactured in Spain by Eolas Prints under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
