The Bambu Lab H2C is a large-format, enclosed dual-nozzle 3D printer built around the Vortek hotend change system: the right nozzle swaps automatically between induction-heated hotends while the left nozzle prints another material, so a single job can use up to seven materials or colours with minimal purge waste. It keeps the H2 platform's 330 × 320 × 325 mm total build volume, 350 °C nozzles, 120 °C bed and actively heated 65 °C chamber, and is sold in Europe as an AMS Combo or as a Laser Full Combo with a 10 W or 40 W laser module.

How the Vortek System Cuts Purge Waste

On a conventional multicolour printer every filament change means cutting, purging and re-priming the same nozzle. On the H2C each material can stay loaded in its own induction hotend: when the print needs a different material, the toolhead swaps hotends automatically and the induction coil brings the new one up to temperature in about 8 seconds. In Bambu Lab's published six-colour test model, the H2C produced 532 g of purge and prime-tower waste against 3,032 g on the H2D and 3,917 g on the H2S, and finished in 58% of the H2S print time.

Both combos include 8 hotends: four 0.4 mm hardened-steel induction hotends (one fitted), one 0.2 mm and one 0.6 mm induction hotend for the right nozzle, plus two 0.4 mm hardened-steel standard hotends for the left nozzle (one fitted). Current firmware supports mixing standard- and high-flow hotends in one print, but not mixing nozzle diameters.

Built for Engineering Materials

The PMSM servo extruder delivers up to 10 kg of extrusion force and samples resistance and position at 20 kHz to detect clogs and filament wear in real time. With 350 °C hotends, a 65 °C heated chamber and a flame-retardant enclosure, the H2C prints PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET, PPS, PVA and BVOH, plus carbon- and glass-fibre reinforced grades – and can combine them in one part, for example rigid PA6-GF with flexible TPU joints.

Laser Full Combo: Engrave, Cut and Draw

The Laser Full Combo ships with the H2C Laser Edition (BirdsEye camera fitted), an AMS 2 Pro, a 10 W or 40 W laser module, laser platform, cutting module with pen holder, cutting platform and emergency stop button. The 40 W module cuts up to 15 mm basswood plywood in a single pass and engraves at up to 1000 mm/s; the 10 W module cuts up to 6 mm and engraves at up to 400 mm/s.
