Description
The Prusa CORE One L is the large-format variant of Prusa's enclosed CoreXY platform. With a 300×300×330 mm build volume — roughly 60% more capacity than the CORE One+ — the CORE One L is designed for users who regularly need to print larger single-piece parts, higher-volume batches, or taller objects that exceed what standard desktop printers can accommodate. It combines the CORE One+'s active 60°C chamber heating, Nextruder direct drive extruder, and all-steel construction in a larger frame.

CORE One L vs CORE One+ — Which to Choose
The CORE One L and CORE One+ share the same CoreXY architecture, Nextruder extruder system, and material capability. The differences are size and chamber heating method. The CORE One L's 300×300×330 mm volume is the relevant upgrade for: printing large housing components or enclosures that won't fit in 250×220×270mm; running larger print batches per cycle to increase throughput; printing tall objects (over 270mm high) that require the extra Z height. The CORE One L also uses AC convection heating for the chamber and bed — an industrial-grade heating approach that reaches and maintains 60°C more efficiently than the CORE One+'s system at the larger scale.
60°C Active Chamber — AC Convection
The CORE One L's chamber heating system uses mains-powered AC convection — the same approach used in industrial FDM printers. This provides more stable and even heat distribution across the larger chamber volume compared to DC-powered systems, and reaches operating temperature faster. At 60°C, the CORE One L handles ASA, ABS, PC Blend, and Nylon with excellent warping resistance, and maintains consistent inter-layer adhesion throughout tall prints where temperature gradients would otherwise cause layer separation.
Material Compatibility
- Standard: PLA, PETG — printable with door closed
- Engineering: ASA, ABS, PC Blend, PA-11, PA-12, PA-GF, PA-CF
- High-performance: PEEK, PEI (with optional HT Hotend upgrade)
- Flexible: TPU
- Composite: Carbon-fibre and glass-fibre filled materials (hardened nozzle required)
Who It's For
- Product designers and engineers printing large structural components, housings, or assemblies that exceed standard desktop printer capacity
- Industrial prototyping teams needing volume and chamber stability for engineering materials
- Small manufacturers producing batches of medium to large functional parts in a single print cycle
- Research and development teams requiring a large enclosed platform for material and design testing
