Description
Bambu Lab H3C
Nine PrintTools, each with its own nozzle and filament, switching material in about 6 seconds with almost no purge. Sealed AMS 3H storage and drying built in.
The Bambu Lab H3C is Bambu Lab's first tool-changing 3D printer. Instead of cutting, reloading and purging one nozzle at every colour change, it docks 9 PrintTools, each with its own nozzle, heater and filament path, and picks up whichever one the print needs.
Because the next tool is already loaded and pre-heated, a material switch takes about 6 seconds and wastes around 38 mg of filament. It prints a 330 × 320 × 325 mm volume in a 65 °C actively heated chamber, and the included AMS 3H keeps all nine spools sealed on top of the machine with a built-in 85 °C dryer.
What makes the H3C different
SwapTek™ nine-tool switching
Nine docked PrintTools instead of one nozzle. Five can mix CMYKW PLA Palette into full colour while the others carry supports, silk, wood-fill or flexible materials in the same print.
Active Pre-Heat
The next tool warms up while the current one is still printing, so a switch takes about 6 seconds (3.4 s for the tool change itself) and purges around 38 mg.
Soft TPU with FlexFeed
A dedicated PrintTool takes 2.85 mm flexible filament from a bypass slot and prints TPU as soft as 75A at up to 3× the flow of Bambu Lab's previous generation.
AMS 3H: store, feed, dry
Nine sealed, RFID-tracked slots sit on top of the printer. Two double as an 85 °C dryer for PA, PC, PET and carbon-fibre filaments, even during a print.
Built for engineering materials
Hardened-steel 350 °C nozzles, a 120 °C bed, a 65 °C chamber and H11 HEPA plus activated-carbon filtration for PA, PC, PPS and fibre-filled grades.
More than printing
Optional CraftTools (CutTool, DrawTool, DebossTool) dock like PrintTools, so one job can print, cut, draw and deboss without manual changes.
AMS 3H Combo or Full Combo
Both versions include the H3C, the AMS 3H and all nine PrintTools, ready for multi-material printing. The AMS 3H Combo is the printer on its own; filament is sold separately.
The Full Combo adds Bambu PLA Palette CMYKW, a spool of TPU 75A black and the Bambu Station L FRAME Edition, a steel stand rated for about 90 kg that brings the 1 m-tall H3C to working height. With the AMS 3H fitted, allow about 1,306 mm of height so the lid can open.

Materials
The H3C prints PLA, PETG, PCTG, TPU, EVA, PE, PP, PHA, PVA, BVOH, ABS, ASA, HIPS, PA, PAHT, PC, PET, PPA and PPS, plus carbon- and glass-fibre reinforced grades. Each material keeps its own nozzle and temperature, so you can pair PLA with soluble PVA or BVOH supports, PETG with TPU hinges, or PA-CF with flexible TPU joints in one print.
The 65 °C chamber and the 85 °C dryer in the AMS 3H are what make engineering filaments practical: PA, PC and PET stay dry in the sealed slots, and large parts print without warping.
Filament shown in Bambu Lab's product photos is sold separately. The AMS 3H Combo includes no filament; the Full Combo includes PLA Palette CMYKW and TPU 75A black.

Questions about the Bambu Lab H3C
How many materials can the Bambu Lab H3C print at once?
Nine, one per PrintTool. With the optional buffer and up to four existing Bambu Lab AMS units connected to PrintTool 1, a single print can draw on up to 24 spools.
How is the H3C different from an AMS printer like the H2D or P2S?
AMS printers feed several filaments through one nozzle, so every change means cutting, unloading, loading and purging. The H3C gives every material its own pre-heated nozzle, so a switch takes about 6 seconds and purges around 38 mg instead of building a large purge tower.
How does the H3C compare with the Prusa CORE One INDX?
Both are tool changers with one nozzle per material. The H3C has 9 tools, switches in about 6 seconds, reaches 350 °C with a 65 °C chamber, and includes the AMS 3H for sealed storage and drying. The Prusa CORE One L+ INDX has up to 8 tools with about 12-second changes and 0.013 g of waste, 300 °C nozzles and a 60 °C chamber, and is built by Prusa in the EU.
Does the H3C print soft TPU?
Yes. A dedicated PrintTool takes 2.85 mm TPU from a bypass slot and prints material as soft as 75A at up to 3× the flow rate of Bambu Lab's previous generation.
Is the H3C replacing the H2C?
No. Bambu Lab keeps both. The H2C pairs many materials with different nozzle sizes through its Vortek hotend change; the H3C is faster and wastes less for multi-colour and multi-material printing.
How much space does the H3C need?
It stands 1,016 mm tall with the AMS 3H fitted and weighs 36.28 kg. Bambu Lab recommends 593 × 1056 × 1306 mm of installation space so the AMS 3H lid can open fully. The Full Combo includes the Bambu Station L FRAME stand.
Does it run on a normal wall socket?
Yes. In Spain and the rest of the EU it runs on 200–240 V. It draws up to 2250 W for about 3–5 minutes while heating the bed; on circuits with limited capacity, Low Power Mode caps it at 1050 W.
Can it print carbon fibre and other abrasive filaments?
Yes. All nine PrintTools have hardened-steel nozzles and extruder gears rated to 350 °C, and the AMS 3H dryer keeps fibre-filled PA and PC dry before they reach the nozzle.
