Materials Catalogue

Welcome to the Eolas Prints materials catalogue — a complete guide to our 3D printing filaments and pellets, manufactured in-house in Spain under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. Every material below is made to a tight diameter tolerance with consistent colour and verified print settings, and most carry food-contact, skin-contact and toy-safety options. Use this catalogue to compare materials, find the right one for your project, and download the full technical and safety datasheets.

How to choose the right 3D printing material

Not sure which filament you need? Start with the application:

  • Concept models, prototypes & visual parts — choose PLA. It's the easiest to print, dimensionally accurate, biodegradable, and comes in the widest range of finishes (matte, silk, neon, high-speed and more).
  • Tough, functional parts that must resist chemicals or moisture — choose PETG. A great all-rounder for mechanical parts, with food- and skin-contact options and a UV-resistant grade for outdoor use.
  • Heat resistance & impact strength — choose ABS for enclosures, automotive and engineering parts that face higher temperatures.
  • Outdoor durability & weather resistance — choose ASA, engineered to resist UV and the elements without fading or becoming brittle.
  • Flexible, rubber-like parts — choose TPU, available in several hardness grades (93A through D60) for everything from soft gaskets to semi-rigid components.
  • High-volume production & pellet extrusion — choose our pellets (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and recycled PET) for pellet-fed systems and large-format manufacturing.

The tables below list the verified print temperature, bed temperature, speed, density and heat-deflection figures for every live material, pulled directly from our production data and kept up to date automatically. If you'd like a recommendation for your specific part, our team is happy to help — see our 3D printing service or request a free consultation.

PLA filament

Polylactic acid (PLA) is a plant-based bio-polymer and the most popular 3D printing material — easy to print, low-odour, dimensionally stable and available in the widest choice of colours and finishes. Our PLA range includes standard PLA, plus matte, silk, neon, high-speed, antibacterial and transition grades, with food-contact, skin-contact and toy-safe options. Ideal for models, prototypes, education, signage and display pieces. Browse the full PLA collection.

PETG filament

PETG combines easy printing with real mechanical strength, chemical resistance and water resistance, making it our go-to for functional and end-use parts. It offers food-contact and skin-contact options, and we also produce a certified UV-resistant grade for outdoor applications. Explore the PETG collection.

ABS filament

ABS is a classic engineering thermoplastic prized for heat resistance, toughness and impact strength — well suited to enclosures, automotive components and functional prototypes that face higher temperatures. Best printed in an enclosed printer. See ABS.

ASA filament

ASA offers ABS-like strength with outstanding UV and weather resistance, so parts keep their colour and properties outdoors. Ideal for outdoor fixtures, automotive exterior parts and signage. See ASA.

TPU flexible filament

TPU is a flexible, rubber-like elastomer available in several hardness grades — from soft 93A to semi-rigid D60 — for gaskets, seals, protective parts, wearables and vibration damping. UV-resistant and food/skin-contact grades are available. Browse TPU.

Pellets for high-volume & large-format

For pellet-fed printers and large-format or high-volume manufacturing, we supply raw pellets in PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and recycled PET — the same quality polymers as our filament, in bulk form.

Made in Spain, certified quality

Because we manufacture our own filament in Cantabria, Spain, we control quality from raw material to finished spool: consistent diameter, reliable colour, and full ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified processes, with REACH-compliant and food-contact options. Looking for a colour we don't stock? See our custom colour service to match any RAL or Pantone reference.

More from Eolas Prints

Filament is only part of what we do. Whether you need parts made for you or the equipment to make them yourself, we can help:

  • 3D printing service — send us your design and we'll print it in the right material, including large-format parts up to 800 × 800 × 1000 mm.
  • 3D printers — Bambu Lab, Prusa and Flashforge machines for every level, from desktop to professional.
  • Compare 3D printers — see every printer side by side: build volume, temperatures, speed and features, to find your match.
  • 3D scanners — capture real objects and bodies to create accurate, printable 3D models.
  • Colour on request — custom filament matched to any RAL or Pantone reference, or a physical sample.
  • Industrial spools — large-format spools for high-volume and production users.

Frequently asked questions

Which 3D printing material is strongest?
For everyday functional parts, PETG offers the best balance of strength, toughness and ease of printing. For heat resistance choose ABS; for outdoor durability choose ASA; for flexibility choose TPU. PLA is stiffest but most brittle, best for models and prototypes.

What's the difference between PLA and PETG?
PLA is easiest to print and most accurate, ideal for visual models. PETG is tougher, more heat- and chemical-resistant and water-resistant, ideal for functional parts. Both have food- and skin-contact options.

Which materials are food-safe?
Several of our PLA, PETG and TPU grades carry food-contact and skin-contact options. Check each product for its specific certifications, and see the datasheets linked in the catalogue.

What diameters and formats do you offer?
Filament is produced in 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm to a tight diameter tolerance, on standard spools. Pellets are available for pellet-fed and large-format systems.

Can I get a custom colour?
Yes — we match any RAL or Pantone reference, or a physical sample. See our colour on request service.
