PETG

PETG bridges the gap between PLA and ABS — nearly as easy to print as PLA, but with better heat resistance, chemical resistance, and toughness. It barely warps, produces strong functional parts, and does it without the fumes associated with ABS. Eolas Prints manufactures PETG in Cantabria, Spain, to ISO and REACH standards, from food-contact-safe certified raw material, in 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm to a tight ±0.05 mm tolerance.

Choosing a PETG

  • Standard PETG — the all-rounder: 62°C heat deflection, virtually zero shrinkage, excellent chemical resistance, and food-contact-safe raw material. Ideal for functional prototypes, mechanical parts, and kitchen accessories (with appropriate food-safe sealing).
  • PETG UV Resistant — a certified UV-stable formulation that holds its colour and strength outdoors, for garden fixtures, marine parts, automotive components, and signage.
  • PETG Transition — UV-resistant with a unique gradient colour effect, made productively from our colour-change material so every spool is one of a kind.

Getting the Best From PETG

PETG's main quirks are stringing and bed adhesion — both easily solved with the right settings. Our PETG, TPU & ASA settings guide gives you reliable starting points, and our guides on fixing stringing and oozing and first-layer and bed adhesion cover PETG's two most common issues. For everything in one place, see our troubleshooting and calibration hub. PETG is hygroscopic, so dry it before use for best results.
