ELEGOO Mars 5
A compact 6.6-inch 4K resin printer that fits on a desk — the straightforward way into MSLA detail without a workshop rebuild.
The Mars 5 is the sensible first resin printer. At 230 × 230 mm of desk space and 6.6 kg, it sits on a bench rather than requiring one, and it resolves detail an FDM machine simply cannot reach — crisp facial features on miniatures, clean casting masters, smooth prototype surfaces.
It is also genuinely easy to live with. A COB light source, a mechanical levelling sensor and a one-click self-check mean setup is measured in minutes, and the printer tells you if something is wrong before it wastes a tank of resin rather than after.

You Will Also Need a Wash & Cure Station
A resin printer on its own is an incomplete system. Every part must be washed in IPA to remove uncured resin, then UV-cured to reach full hardness. Budget for this from the start — it is not an optional upgrade.
