The eufyMake E1, from Anker, was the machine that brought 3D-texture UV printing down from industrial systems costing tens of thousands to a desktop you can actually fit in a studio. It prints CMYK plus white and gloss varnish directly onto objects, curing each pass with UV light, and it can stack that ink into real, raised texture you can feel with a fingertip — brushstrokes on a canvas print, grain on a leather cover, relief on a metal poster.

At 590 × 250 × 407 mm and 20 kg, it is the most compact machine in this class. Two lasers and an 8 MP snapshot camera measure the height and contour of whatever you put on the bed — including clear acrylic and glass, which defeat many positioning systems — so you place an object, pick a design, and print.

Every E1 ships with the printer, standard flatbed (330 × 420 mm) and mini flatbed (330 × 90 mm), both adhesive mats, air filter, 2.5 mm Allen key, three sample print materials, UV safety goggles, power cable and quick start guide. Bundles add six UV ink cartridges (CMYKWG) and a cleaning cartridge; the rotary and roll-to-film attachments come only with the bundles that name them.

Expect more than one parcel. The printer and ink always ship separately, and the larger bundles arrive as many boxes — one German reviewer counted 14 cartons for a full Deluxe set. Check you have every parcel before unpacking.

eufyMake E1 or xTool O1 Omni?

We sell both desktop UV printers, so here is a straight comparison rather than a sales pitch. They overlap heavily; the differences are texture depth, size, and how far the platform goes.

Choose the E1 if space matters, you want the gentlest learning curve, and flat and cylindrical objects cover your work. Choose the O1 Omni if you need deeper texture, garment printing, or print-and-cut alongside an xTool laser. Both use closed cartridge systems, so ink comes from the manufacturer either way.

What to know before you buy

UV printing is genuinely capable, and the E1 is the easiest way into it. Six things are worth understanding before you commit.

• Ink is proprietary and it is the real running cost. Cartridges come from eufyMake only — around €43 for a single 100 ml cartridge, or about €299 for a full six-cartridge set with cleaning cartridge at current eufyMake prices. White and gloss deplete far faster than the colours because they build the texture layers: one German test had the white cartridge a quarter empty after just 15 small jobs. Price your products with ink cost in, not just the machine.
• Maintenance uses ink too. eufyMake's own figures put daily use at roughly $54 a month in deep-clean and pre-print priming ink alone, before anything you actually sell. Occasional use costs less, but the machine still primes itself.
• Texture jobs are slow. A simple photo on a 30 × 40 cm canvas takes about 30 minutes; deep relief and brushstroke effects can run to several hours. Initial setup and calibration take around 45 minutes.
• There are object limits. The bed takes up to 1.5 kg, and tall items move to a separate zero-point alignment workflow rather than fully automatic camera placement.
• The print head is a consumable. It carries a 3-month warranty against the machine's 1 year, which tells you how it is treated. eufyMake Care covers a replacement and is sold separately.
• Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only. There is no 5 GHz support, so check your network before setup — some office routers run 5 GHz exclusively.
