PLA

PLA is the most widely used 3D printing material — and for good reason. It is the easiest filament to print, needs no enclosure, barely warps, and produces crisp, clean results. Eolas Prints manufactures PLA in Cantabria, Spain, to ISO and REACH standards, with food-safe, toy-safe, and skin-safe certified raw material across the applicable variants. Every spool is tested for dimensional consistency to ±0.05 mm before it leaves our facility.

Choosing a PLA

Our PLA range covers far more than the standard grade:

  • Standard PLA — the everyday workhorse, available in 20+ colours. The right starting point for prototypes, models, and decorative parts.
  • High Speed PLA — formulated for printing up to 300 mm/s, with nearly double the strength of standard PLA and ABS-level impact resistance. Built for print farms and fast production.
  • PLA Matte — a smooth, non-reflective finish that hides layer lines for clean display models.
  • PLA Silk — a high-gloss metallic finish in gold, silver, bronze, and copper.
  • PLA Neon — intense fluorescent colours for high-visibility and decorative prints.
  • PLA Transition — a unique gradient effect, made productively from our colour-change material so no two spools are alike.
  • PLA Ingeo 850 & 870 — heat-resistant grades reaching 85°C+ after annealing, an alternative to ABS with PLA ease of printing.
  • PLA Antibacterial — ISO-certified, over 99.9% more hygienic than standard PLA, for frequently handled parts.

Getting the Best From PLA

PLA is forgiving, but a little calibration goes a long way.
