    Large-Format 16K MSLA Resin Printer

    ELEGOO Jupiter 2

A 14-inch 16K masking LCD over a 302 × 162 × 300 mm build volume, with automatic resin feeding and recycling — built for people who print resin all day.

The Jupiter 2 is what you buy when the plate size, not the detail, has become the constraint. Its build volume is around 2.5× larger than a Saturn 4, which changes the work you can take on: a helmet or a full bust in one piece instead of four glued sections, or a production plate of small parts deep enough to be worth the cycle.

The feature that matters most in daily use is automatic resin feeding and recycling. On a machine this size, hand-filling a large tank and draining it afterwards is the tedious, messy part of the job — and the point at which resin gets spilled. The Jupiter 2 pumps resin in as the print consumes it and returns it to the bottle afterwards.

    What Makes It Different

    📐

    2.5× the build volume

302 × 162 × 300 mm against a Saturn 4. Print tall pieces whole, or fill a deep plate with production parts — MSLA cures a full layer at once, so quantity costs no extra time.

    🔄

    Automatic resin feeding

Resin is pumped in as the print consumes it and recycled back to the bottle when finished. Less handling, less spillage, and long jobs that do not need babysitting.

    🔍

    14″ 16K quick-swap LCD

Full 16K resolution across a large panel. The masking LCD is a wear part on every MSLA machine — quick-swap makes replacing it a short job rather than a strip-down.

    Tilt Release

The tank tilts to release each layer instead of pulling the model off the film. Essential at this plate size, where peel forces on a large cross-section would otherwise be substantial.

    💡

    Enclosed COB + Fresnel

A fully enclosed light source with a collimating lens eliminates light leaks and keeps exposure even from the centre of the plate to the corners.

    📷

    Live monitoring & timelapse

Watch a long plate remotely and catch a failure early rather than at hour eleven.

You Will Also Need a Wash & Cure Station

A resin printer on its own is an incomplete system — and that is doubly true here, because large parts are exactly the ones that are awkward to wash and cure by hand. Every finished print must be washed in IPA to remove uncured resin, then UV-cured to reach full hardness and dimensional stability.

    • Mercury Plus V3.0 — 7.5 L wash capacity and a large curing chamber; the most practical match for Jupiter-sized parts.
    • Mercury XS Bundle — separate washing and curing stations plus a handheld UV lamp, so a second plate can be washing while the first cures.

Plan consumables into the running cost: release film, masking LCD, build plate and resin tank are wear parts on any MSLA machine. We stock replacements in Spain.

    Safety & workspace

Uncured photopolymer resin is a skin and eye irritant. Work in a ventilated space, wear nitrile gloves and eye protection when handling liquid resin, wash parts in IPA, and cure fully before handling bare-handed. Dispose of waste resin and used IPA as chemical waste — never down the drain. At 28.9 kg and 648 mm tall, plan for a solid bench and two people to position it.

    Who It's For

    • Production studios — batch plates of small parts, or single large pieces without sectioning
    • Prop, cosplay and model makers — helmets, busts and large display pieces printed whole
    • Engineering — full-size housings and assemblies with fine surface detail
    • Dental & medical laboratories scaling beyond single-model throughput
    • Service bureaus running resin capacity alongside FDM

    Questions About the Jupiter 2

How much bigger is it than a Saturn 4 in practice?

The plate is 302 × 162 mm against 219 × 123 mm, and both stand 220–300 mm tall — roughly 2.5× the volume. In practical terms that is the difference between printing a helmet or full bust in one piece and splitting it into sections to be glued and filled. For batch work it means noticeably more parts per cycle, since MSLA cures a whole layer at once regardless of how many models sit on the plate.

How does automatic resin feeding actually work?

A pump draws resin from the bottle into the tank as the print consumes it, keeping the level correct through a long job, and returns the remainder to the bottle when finished. On a tank this size that removes the two messiest moments in resin printing — hand-filling a large vat and draining it afterwards — which is where most spills and most wasted resin happen.

Can it really print a helmet in one piece?

Most adult-scale helmets fit within 302 × 162 × 300 mm when oriented diagonally, though a wide brim or horns may still need splitting. Check your model's bounding box against those figures before ordering. Remember the practical consequence too: a part that large uses a lot of resin and needs a wash and cure station big enough to handle it, which is why we pair this machine with the Mercury Plus V3.0.

What bench and handling does it need?

It is 465 × 508 × 648 mm and 28.9 kg, so it needs a solid bench rather than a shelf, headroom above for the lid, and two people to position it safely. Allow room beside it for the resin bottle used by the feeding system, and keep it out of direct sunlight — UV through a window will partially cure resin sitting in the vat.

Where should I put it — does it need dedicated ventilation?

Put it somewhere you do not sleep or spend long hours. Resin off-gasses while printing and IPA off-gasses while washing, and levels that are acceptable in a ventilated room during the day accumulate overnight in a sealed one. A garage or workshop with genuine airflow to outside is the right home for a machine this size. Enclosures and carbon filters cut odour but do not effectively remove VOCs.

    Buying from Eolas Prints

We are a specialist 3D printing supplier in Cantabria, Spain, shipping across Spain and the EU. We keep resin consumables on the shelf here, and we will give you a straight answer about whether a machine this size is right for your parts — for many workshops a smaller printer and a second shift is the better economics.
