    Separate Wash & Cure Stations

    ELEGOO Mercury XS Bundle

Two independent machines plus a handheld UV lamp — so one plate can be washing while the previous one cures.

The Mercury XS Bundle takes a different approach from a combined unit: you get a separate wash station and a separate cure station, which means both stages can run at once. For anyone printing repeat batches, that removes the bottleneck of waiting for one machine to finish washing before curing can start.

It also includes a handheld 405 nm UV lamp — genuinely useful for curing the interior of assembled parts, reaching recesses the turntable cannot illuminate, and spot-curing repairs.

    What It Does

    Wash and cure in parallel

Two independent machines. Wash the next plate while the last one cures — the practical difference when you are producing batches rather than one-offs.

    🔆

    360° all-round curing

Two L-shaped light bars carrying 14 UV LEDs each, plus 4 LEDs beneath the turntable. Combined with 360° rotation, models cure evenly with no shadowed faces.

    🔦

    Handheld UV lamp

A 405 nm wand for interiors, recesses and assembled parts. Use at 20–60 mm distance, in bursts of no more than 15 minutes.

    💧

    Sealed 7 L wash tank

Rubber-sealed to contain IPA vapour during washing. Handles large models directly, or batches of small parts.

    🛡️

    Anti-UV lid

Transparent yellow shade blocking 99.9% of UV light, so you can watch progress without risking your eyes.

    🔌

    Shared adapter

Both machines can run simultaneously from the supplied adapter, with identical knob-and-button operation.

For Saturn 4 and Jupiter series printers, the build platform must be removed before washing — unlike smaller machines, the plate will not fit in the tank. If you run a Saturn 4 or Jupiter, the Mercury Plus V3.0 takes plates up to 10 inches directly.

    Safety & workspace

Uncured photopolymer resin is a skin and eye irritant. Wear the supplied goggles and nitrile gloves when handling liquid resin, used IPA or the handheld UV lamp, and work in a ventilated space. Never look directly at 405 nm UV light, and do not run the handheld lamp for more than 15 minutes continuously. Dispose of waste resin and saturated IPA as chemical waste — never down the drain.

Questions About the Mercury XS Bundle

Why two separate units instead of one 2-in-1?

Throughput. With a combined machine you wash a plate, then swap the bucket for the turntable and cure it — the two stages queue behind each other. With separate stations, the first plate cures while the second is already washing. If you print one plate at a time it makes little difference; if you run repeat batches it roughly halves your post-processing bottleneck.

Does it work with a Saturn 4 or Jupiter?

It works, but not with the plate attached. The XS is rated for printers up to 9.1 inches, so on a Saturn 4 or Jupiter you must remove parts from the build platform first and wash them loose in the basket. That is an extra handling step on every plate. If you want to drop the whole plate straight in, the Mercury Plus V3.0 takes up to 10 inches directly.

What is the handheld UV lamp actually for?

Curing what the turntable cannot reach — the inside of a hollowed model, deep recesses, undercuts, and assembled or glued parts that no longer fit the chamber. It is also useful for spot-curing a repair. Hold it 20–60 mm from the surface and work in bursts of no more than 15 minutes, wearing the supplied goggles; never look directly at the emitter.

How do I dispose of the used IPA?

Not down the drain. Leave the saturated IPA in sunlight or under a UV lamp so the dissolved resin cures out and settles as solid sludge, then filter or decant it — the cured solid goes out as hazardous waste, and the remaining liquid should go to a chemical waste facility. The sealed tank helps here: it limits evaporation between uses so the IPA lasts longer before it needs replacing.

Do I still need ventilation if the tank is sealed?

Yes. The seal limits evaporation while the lid is closed, but IPA still off-gasses during washing and whenever the tank is open, and it carries dissolved uncured resin with it. Run both stations in the same ventilated space as the printer, keep the lid on when not in use, and avoid washing in a small sealed room.
