Adventurer 5M Pro vs 5M — Which to Choose

The 5M and 5M Pro share the same CoreXY motion system, direct drive extruder, and 600 mm/s maximum speed. The differences are enclosure, filtration, and nozzle temperature ceiling. Choose the 5M Pro if you: print ABS, ASA, or any material that benefits from a warm chamber environment; work in an office, school, or shared space where VOCs and particles from open-frame printing are a concern; want the quick-release nozzle system for faster material and nozzle changes; or regularly print materials above 280°C. Choose the 5M if you: primarily print PLA and PETG in a ventilated workshop; want the lowest cost entry point; and have no enclosure requirement.

300°C Nozzle Temperature

The Pro's 300°C nozzle ceiling (vs 280°C on the standard 5M) opens up PA-12 Nylon and some PC Blend grades alongside the standard PLA/PETG/ABS range. Combined with the enclosed chamber, the 5M Pro is a capable machine for functional engineering materials at this price point.
