This week's episode of the Empresax.com podcast features our very own experts on the 3D printing industry. Luis Toribio and Tanuj Goswami, partners and founders of Eolas Prints, joined us to discuss their company's trajectory, how the 3D printing industry has evolved since its origin and how the filament production industry has evolved, as well as their roadmap for future growth. We hope you enjoy this latest instalment from the podcast series.
"Subject it to 120°C for a mere 15-20 minutes, and witness a transformation"
I would not recommend heat treating unless you absolutely need it, and then, careful consideration needs to be taken regarding part geometry.
I ruined a part that took 3 days to print, as it warped and curled so badly that it rendered the part scrap.
I'm not saying it's a fault with the material, but there are many factors at play when you put a part in a heated environment necessary to achieve the properties desired.
So don´t think that you're just going to pop a part into the oven at 120C and wait 15 minutes and have a stronger part. Make sure your oven is calibrated, Consider the part geometry carefully. And consider whether you actually need to heat treat the part.
Otherwise happy with the filament! I will order it again.
El filamento es de calidad y muy bonito. Servicio rápido y por teléfono fueron muy amables ante mis dudas
